PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 1 KARANGPLOSO
Abstract
This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in science subject through students team achievement division (STAD) model. This study used classroom action research design in three cycles. This study was conducted at SMPN 1 Karangploso in academic year 2014/2015 assigning 32 students of 8th class as subject. Findings of the study are as follows. In cycle I, of 32 students only 4 (12.50%) achieved minimum mastery (KKM) and 87.5% was failed with mean score 56.41. In cycle II, KKM was reached by 18 (56.25%), 43.75% failed and mean score 69.22. In cycle III, KKM was gained by 29 (90.26%), 3 (0.93%) failed and average score 88.97. Students accomplishement was suprising, that is 19 (59.37%) acheived 91-100, 10 (31.25%) = 81-90, 2 (6.25%) = 75-79, and 1 (3.13%) = 40-79.   STAD evidently improved students mastery on science subject.
